In
2001, the Center for American and International Law
created the Institute for Litigation Studies.
Under
the leadership of Judge Patrick Higginbotham, Chair
of the Board of Trustees of The Center for American
and International Law, an extraordinary Executive Committee
was assembled to launch the Institute. Chaired by Trustee
Harry Reasoner, the Committee includes many national
luminaries.
The
Institute focuses not only on the Center's traditional
strength, continuing legal education, but also seeks
to facilitate research and collegial reflection on litigation-related
issues. Thus far, much of the work of the Institute
has been devoted to Capital Trial Advocacy.
